How to play Traitors at home

A simple, no-faff guide for running a Traitors-style game night with friends, plus an easy browser option if you want the rules handled for you.

What you need

  • 4 or more players (5+ is best)
  • A way to assign roles (cards, slips of paper, or an app)
  • A host or narrator (a person, or an AI narrator)
  • Phones optional, but handy for secret voting

The roles

You'll have two teams. The key is that one team knows who they are, and the other doesn't.

  • Traitors: secretly work together to remove players.
  • Faithful: try to identify and banish the Traitors.

How a round works

  1. Night: Traitors choose a player to eliminate.
  2. Morning: reveal who was eliminated.
  3. Discussion: everyone debates who the Traitors might be.
  4. Vote: the group votes to banish one player. Reveal their role.

How to win

  • Faithful win if all Traitors are banished.
  • Traitors win if they equal or outnumber the Faithful.

Make it easier

If you want the narrator, timing, and voting handled for you, you can use 100% Faithful.

Play 100% Faithful

This guide is for a generic Traitors-style social deduction game concept. 100% Faithful is an independent fan-made experience and is not affiliated with or endorsed by any television programme or broadcaster.
